Technical Breakdown
Traffic Escape runs on a tile-based grid engine where every vehicle occupies one or two cells and moves exclusively along its locked axis. Horizontal cars slide left or right only; vertical vehicles travel up or down only. This axis-constrained movement creates logical cause-and-effect chains that grow exponentially more complex as more blockers are added to the board.
The core objective is consistent across all 28 levels: maneuver the red fire engine so it can exit through the right-side opening. What changes level by level is the density and orientation of the surrounding fleet. The game tracks your move count in real time, and your final star rating — one, two, or three — is determined solely by the efficiency of your solution. Finishing with the fewest moves earns three stars; brute-forcing through extra moves costs you rating.
Vehicles come in five types, each with a distinct visual language and length. Taxis and trucks occupy two tiles and resist being shifted out of the way quickly, which forces multi-step planning. Ambulances add a visual-recognition layer due to their white body and red cross marking. Understanding how each vehicle's length interacts with available gap space is the central skill the game develops across all four quadrants of every puzzle board.
What You Get
Every level introduces a new board configuration, escalating from open grids with two blockers to dense traffic jams requiring eight or more sequential moves. Progress saves automatically so you can resume any level.
Red fire engine, yellow taxis, blue sedans, white ambulances with red-cross markings, and yellow trucks — each occupying one or two tiles. Length differences mean moving one vehicle often forces a chain reaction across the board.
Touch and drag any vehicle along its designated axis. Cars move strictly left or right; trucks and taxis strictly up or down. One tile at a time — precision is required, and accidental moves are not forgiven by the star counter.
Each level awards up to three stars based on the total number of moves used. The fewest moves unlock three stars; anything above the optimal count reduces your rating. Revisiting completed levels to sharpen your score is a core loop.
A live move counter visible throughout gameplay tracks every drag action. This transparent feedback loop encourages planning ahead before committing to a move and directly drives the puzzle-solving mindset the game is built around.
A full 4-column, 7-row level selection screen shows all 28 stages at a glance. Jump between any unlocked level to replay for a higher star count, or pick up where you left off after a session break.
